    The excuses are built in before the season begins. The schedule, OL was a put together effort, New OC (adjustment period), Injuries, they always occur we just don't know who. And of course, the old stand by, the omnipresent : "The refs screwed us", The refs hate us"

    Which begs the question. Even if he brought in these players today, just how soon could they learn a new playbook, practise, and actually be be effective. 2, 4, 6 weeks ? IMHO it would just not be worth all the effort and distractions. But Hey, what do I know ?

    And then loose 2 weeks later @ Ole Miss, followed by a loss to TAMU the week after. 4 games in and LSU would be completely out of CFP consideration.

    Forgot to mention. Probably the best matchup yesterday was UNLV vs Memphis. Both considered to be serious contenders to make the CFP this year. Dan Mullen in his first year at UNLV had a good year going 10-4.
