    O-line was horrible against Weddington. I was basing my statement from that game alone, which might not be fair. Obviously that game was several weeks ago and it sounds like they have made adjustments on the O-line and may be back in proper form in time to make another run in 3A.

    O-line is their real weakness. Good defense, but if offense turns the ball over too many times there is only so much that defense can do.

    I said competitive, not that Weddington JV would win. Lots of size, strength, and talent on Weddington JV coupled with excellent coaching. It would be closer than you think.

    Is there really? Maybe these games highlight that certain schools (possibly all over the US) have not received the national recognition that they deserve. There may be a lot of "sleepers" out there that could surprise and upset a lot of so-called "ranked" teams.

    Just saying that it makes sense for you to agree that Weddington has one of the best D in the state because it makes the shutout seem less exposing to the CC offense. If you do not take this position, then you have to admit that the CC offense if dismal. Just think you gotta take one of these...

    Agree. Also if Cougs14 does not agree, then CC got shut out by a "mediocre" D ---- what does that say about CC's offense? Time to give Weddington the respect and credit they deserve. Weddington owns CC now and for at least the next few years.
