No, there is very little correlation to the choice of music and arrival time. There is correlation between having a good time in the parking lot and leaving that enjoyment to head into the game for a number of people.
I commute from Central Jersey to Harborside in JC. When I drive I park in Liberty State Park and then take the light rail, which also goes to Hoboken. Not sure about the concern with 14B, though 14C is iffy.

There aren't a lot of other options in the immediate area - aside from, say, Freddy's on Pierce St. which has a small outdoor area. Obviously New Brunswick is a short drive but Stage House is convenient for the immediate area (residents and workforce).

If you haven't been to Red Bull Arena it's a great place to watch a game. Easy access by train, pre-gaming in the Ironbound then a short stroll to the arena.
