    The right to a speedy trial is just that, a right to be exercised by the defendant. Most defendants freely seek continuances. If they want a speedy trial and a quicker jail sentence, they can have one.

    The case is not set to start tomorrow. That was the original trial date, but all parties requested at the case be deemed complex and the trial date continued. There is currently no trial date, and I would be shocked if goes in 2025 given the nature of the case.

    Also, we were in the left lane to go park in the lot by the dorms. But somebody who was clearly trying to go to the pay lot was not being let in to the right hand lane, which backed our lane up from the checkpoint all the way back down to the red light.     Funny enough, Funny enough, a Memphis fan at the game claimed the reason that they were having so many turnovers today was that they have worn black jerseys up to this point. So their guys were obviously confused. I think he was kidding….but cannot be sure.
