I was outside doing construction during that summer. I’ll never forget it. You would burn your hands picking up a framing square or some other metal tool. So hot!

    That line must be erroneous

Trying to decide who I hate most, Clem's son or Lame Kitten. Kind of despise both of them.

    Wishing they could both lose!

    Football season predictions anyone?

I suspect 6-6 will make his job safe for another year. But that’s based solely on the low bar for our program. When you consider these coaches’ insane salaries, I think the pressure to win more ought to be much higher. If I were the AD, I’d deduct $500,000 from Shane’s salary for every loss.

    Football season predictions anyone?

Hope, angst, frustration, renewed hope, anger, disappointment, heartbreak, utter dejection. I've been a Gamecock fan for several decades. I know how this ride goes. But if you're after a true win-loss guess, I'd say 6-6.

    Ole Miss Sues LSU Defectors

I'd like to sue the judges and everyone else who made this NIL nightmare come into being.

    Passion level...

Someone famous once wrote, "The love of money is the root of all evil." By George, I think they were right.

    Passion level...

You're not alone. It's not the same anymore. I've been very vocal about my dislike (putting it mildly) for the new Transfer Portal rules and NIL. They have disemboweled the passion that lay in the belly of many a college football fan. I'll still watch. But my enthusiasm for it all has been...

I'm a Gamecock fan and have been one since circa 1960, and I will be a Gamecock fan for the rest of my life.***

I’m not quite as old as some of you fellows. But my dad took me to my first game back in the George Rogers era. Started going to all the games in 1982 (the late Coach Richard Bell era). Feel in love with the Gamecocks during Black Magic and the Fire Ants! My father and brother are gone now. So...

Recruiting hits (misses) keep on coming

How about a school (any school) go totally divergent! Hear me out. They say NO to NIL. Zip, zilch, not a penny! They recruit only players who wish to play simply for a scholarship and the love of the game. They make it a matter of pride. Wear it like a badge. A working man’s team. Even if they...

Recruiting hits (misses) keep on coming

Recruiting was doing pretty good after Beamer’s first crap class. But the magic seems to be disappearing. If this class falls below 30, and we have another losing season, I think the fans turn on him. That said, I sort of believe he needs at least 7-8 wins this year.

    Another recruiting win by Beamer!

I was hoping to hear some good news…for a change. Don’t do this, man!

    Recruiting takes another brutal hit

College Football is DEAD! Whatever we have now, it ain’t student athletes playing for their school. It’s greed, greed, greed - gone amuck! I might be about done. Thinking about turning my attention to fishing. Or gardening. When the kneeling started I stopped watching the NFL. Haven’t watched a...

Looking forward to Gamecock football this year.

Have a sister-in-law and nephew who are cat lovers. Personally, I have no use for a cat. I wouldn’t swerve to hit one, or kick one out of my path. But I find them pretty useless.
