A lot of this depends on what your goal is, some coaches schedule no one weeks 1 and 2 and hope to go 5-4. They know they cannot win state but hope playoffs get program buy in.
Others schedule buzz saws early. They know if they get in they will be battle tested are ready. If they cannot get 5...
If you follow the transfers you will see a pattern. Certain schools embrace the transfer and don’t try and stop it or check up on it. Others will take them but will make sure it’s on the up and up. If New Trier or Stevenson gets a transfer I am willing to bet it’s legit.

Have not seen any hate, maybe little lack of respect but that’s due to having so much talent and no playoff success. Maybe lots of hate I just haven’t seen it
Warren is good but conference is bad so only way to tell how good they are is playoffs. Stevenson is not Stevenson, same with LZ or Lake Forest. No one has said one negative word on Warren so not sure where that anger comes from.

Think we are talking about 2 different things. Coaches who enter tournaments are there to win. However tournaments only account for maybe 1/5 of 7 on 7s. Most are 4 teams getting together at a school and working on schemes with everyone getting reps.
In many normal 7 on 7s (not tournaments)...
Some don’t move ball, some say 20 plays put ball where ever you want.
No coach cares about score just if kids are competing. Everyone plays so if you lose to team because your 3rd string guy got beat for 3 TDs who cares. It’s about development and practice
