    In general I do think think coaching is getting worse but it's mainly because there are less and less willing individuals to take the job. Plenty of really good coordinators and high level assistants who don't want the headache of all of the off-field stuff.

    Same thing happening in Texas. I would like to believe its a rotational thing. High school has always had a team or 2 dominating. But as more states begin to crackdown on transfers maybe things will even out again.

    @RawMeat92 I do believe you are mostly correct. But what about the recent success of King George and probably now Spotsylvania. Not suggesting all of the battlefield schools can replicate that but it does seem that with the right staff and systems in place those schools can elevate their levels...

    I actually think Huguenot has closed the gap from last year a bit. But the QB is way too stationary to be effective against a D line like Varina. With the Qb not being a run threat Huguenot won't be able to run the ball at all.

    Dinwiddie played a home regional semi and championship at Huguenot a few years ago after the field got wrecked. Probably just trying to save the field if they need it next week.
