    Mostly because many of us are capable of critical thinking and have the use of our logical faculties. We just get tired of the circular reasoning, personal attacks, and red herrings. Over 70% of debates I have involve the other party quoting sources that are insubstantiable, not quoting sources...

    Legit if I could conveniently take public transportation to and from my job 45 minutes away I'd do it in a heartbeat. Not commuting b/c of Covid saved me >$1500/month in food, gas, and other expenses.

    This is not an awesome economy, it's trash right now. Wage growth for non-executives is lower than it has been in decades, tons of people are still unemployed, and the stock market is so decoupled from actual performance that it's primed for a meltdown even worse than 2007.

    I believe you mean 57%. Here in the US it's about 34% for me, but honestly if it meant EVERYONE making ~65k and more (that's where Sweden's highest tax bracket starts) paid that much in taxes and the wealthy couldn't just spend a little money to avoid paying any altogether, I'd be all for it...

    I agree they are, I was just piling on that guy. I truly believe though that getting the GOP out of power is crucial to the survival of the USA. Their efforts to gerrymander and stack the courts aren't in support of Democracy and representing the people, they are in an effort to consolidate...

Talking about disproportionate representation, Republicans have appointed what, five nominees over the last 28 years to Democrats' two, despite only being in office for 12 years? Yeah that makes a LOT of sense. Talk about working to undermine and rig the system.
