    My point was not that sociology is for progressives (although IMO it certainly is). My point was that if the charge is that athletes at Duke major in less rigorous academic areas, it's probably well-justified. That's no different for Duke than it is anywhere else, and I don't think we could...

    I took a sociology course at Duke. Showed up for the first class, read the book, aced the final. Seems to me that bragging about the quality of the Sociology dept. is like arguing about who's the tallest midget.

    It's unfair to think that every five star high school prospect is going to be a one and done kid. I think Bolden is better this year, and will be better still next year, when he'll be getting a lot more playing time. There's no shame in not going to the NBA until after you graduate.

    I just had a look over there. Funny thing is how there are several fans who are level-headed and more or less sane, surrounded by a sea of drooling yokels. The non-schizo population must spend their time looking around and asking themselves "WTF?".
