It looked like the ref was leaning in to tell him over all the noise that there is still time on the clock. He leaned in too and it looked weird. His expression shows he wasn't ripping the ref or anything.
I know what you're saying, but the freshmen carried them all year. Plenty of upperclassmen made silly mistakes in this tourney too that cost their teams. UConn's freshman made the game-winning shot.
