Kyle Busch dies at 41. Unreal

Mrs. FourHeels best friend's husband works for one of the NASCAR teams and talked to Kyle yesterday. That sounds very much like what the friend said they are hearing.

    Game 53 - Carolina 17 State 7 - Series Secured

Nope. I just watched again to make sure I wasn't seeing things. Definitely 1B and 2B that collided. With a RH batter, 2B, SS and 3B were all on the left side of the diamond. 1B just went ridiculously far to his right to try to field it

Pretty sure that was 1B and 2B that ran into each other. Not sure I've ever seen a first baseman trying to field a ball at straightaway second base

    RIP Bobby Cox

Bobby's return to Atlanta as GM in 86 before moving to the dugout when Schuerholz arrived a few years later set things in motion for the incredible run that began in '91 and built a legacy that has carried through to present day. RIP, Bobby.

    Atlanta Braves

Legendary Braves HOF Manager (and GM before Schuerholz) Bobby Cox has passed. His return to Atlanta from Toronto set the stage for what the Braves franchise has become over the last 35+ years. https://www.wsbtv.com/news/local/atlanta-braves-manager-bobby-cox-dies-84/MKQ7IYNVEBDL3GKA4K4UBW6XQM/

Murphy is back and in the lineup tonight. Heim DFAd after a 2 hit, 5 RBI day yesterday. Would be nice if they could trade him for some bullpen or OF help.

Still way too much swing and miss from Riley this weekend but he did have the best series offensively he's had in a while. Hopefully Ronald's hammy heals up quickly and he doesn't have any other problems with it. Not the best return from Strider yesterday but thankfully the offense and bullpen...

    Walt Weiss' Braves

Getting all kinds of production from the bench guys and Murphy and Kim should be back soon. Now need to to get Ronald, Harris and Iglesias healthy and shore up the bullpen

    Atlanta Braves

Heck of a comeback in Denver last night to kick off a 9 game swing out west. Down 5-0 after one inning and then 6-0 only to come all the way back and win 8-6 thanks to a pinch-hit 2-run homer from Money Mike in the 9th. Also, two solid hits and a sac fly from Riley. Hopefully that will finally...

And all with a patchwork rotation and paltry contributions from Acuña and Riley

Also forgot to mention these guys, most of whom I was friends with in high school.

I had just mentioned Schlitz a couple of posts above yours. My older son (UNC c/o '21) took a History of Country Music class a few years ago and Don was a guest lecturer for one of the classes. RIP, Don

    Game 40 - Carolina 14 GT 4 - Series Secured

Run rule takes effect after 7 innings (or 6.5 if the home team already has the 10+ run lead). Wake piled it on in the bottom of the 6th and the game was called after the top of the 7th.
