So, top 60 in terms of boy enrollment. Then, if combined is 850+, you are A. Less, you are B. The girls would be done exactly the same. Correct?

    Head Football Coach Openings

Coach Purnell was in between those two. Took them to a state final in 2003 (I think).

    Other Sports Track Districts

Or realize there is a different time zone in the western part of the state. That would be a lot to ask of them.

    Potential C2 FB Districts 2018/19

You're correct, I forgot that. Still, not sure it makes a lot of sense to send Southern Valley or Gibbon into that district, even though they both most likely will get a game or two out of that district. Kimball and Bayard both going to 8 man puts Gordon and Bridgeport in a tough spot.

    Potential C2 FB Districts 2018/19

I would guess the 4 western teams could be in a 4 team district. does not seem to make much sense to send southern valley or gibbon into that district. southern valley to gordon is a five plus hour drive, to bridgeport is a little more than 4. gordon rushville is in a tough spot regardless...

Wakefield was pretty good then, too, huh??

Football Most power points of all time?

Not sure if this is the highest, but the highest one so far: 2004 - Boone Central - 46.250

    ***Unofficial Class C-2 Playoff Bracket***

Centennial has to be just shaking their heads............... 9-0 #1 Seed !!! Then, like you said, Yutan, who they only beat by 2. THEN, in round 2 - a team they only beat by 5 (St. Paul). What a draw for the number 1 seed. Oh, then probably WC (most likely the best team in C2) in the...

    Pierce vs West Point

I think Stanton's 7-2 was also in that argument. I agree with you that NC should get in. I disagree with you that ALC and Stanton should not. Margin of victory/loss was taken out of the formula in the late 70's early 80's, I believe. So, while the "eye-test" sees the difference between a...

    Pierce vs West Point

Aren't you the one who last year argued against a 32-team playoff by saying that 6-3 teams don't deserve to be in the playoffs? If they want to be in the playoffs, they should just win their games? My argument was for teams like this that end up 6-3 and lose to 3 great teams. AND, I do...

NSAA Board of Directors Meeting Minutes - March 9, 2016

In summation, while it would stand to reason that having a larger enrollment would be an advantage it is not borne out through a brief examination of the data. (My guess is that Class C1 and C2 would not show much of correlation either.) Actually, you should look into C1 and C2 (specifically...

Let's discuss the Class D1 Playoffs in 2016

Why does this bother you so much? I've read many posts of yours in the past regarding this topic, and I just can't figure out WHY this bugs you. Who cares if there are 1-7 teams in the playoffs? Those players know they aren't some super-team just because they get to wear a playoff t-shirt...

    Parochial Schools

Now would probably be a good time to change the subject. How'd did everybody enjoy the C1 game with Columbus JV and Norfolk JV?? :)

    Parochial Schools

"How is the three year enrollment figured? Isn't it frosh-junior or am I wrong? I hope I am. If so I don't understand why frosh or included instead of seniors, kids who are actually likely to be on varsity." they take this years numbers for next year's classifications. why would want this...

    Parochial Schools

I don't agree with the participation idea. I think it would cause schools to discourage students from participating - that's not what the sport of football needs these days. I can see a school that gets a bunch of kids out for football (with many who will never play a meaningful down in...
