Agree, I have always felt a reversal was undervalued. 3 points would lead to more action on bottom and more exciting matches in general. I had hoped they would have changed it when they increased the takedown points but that didn't happen unfortunately.
Final Thoughts:
Caliendo and Cannon will be filing PFAs against Mesenbrink and Duke on Monday morning.
How in the world did that kid from Princeton make the finals, awful, awful style of wrestling. NCAA should ban him.
The review that overturned Duke's takedown is the worst call I can...
2023: North Dakota State (Caliendo-Franek)
2024: Arizona State (Parco-Teemer); Wyoming (Buchanan)
2025: Little Rock (Bailey-Williams); Rutgers (Peterson)
2026: ??
10-0 round definitely possible.
Blaze probably has the most difficult matchup. Ayala has been wrestling well, and like you said, it can be difficult to beat a quality wrestler 3 times in a season.
I like Luke's matchup with Peterson a little better but still not easy.
Making the NJ state final is no easy task yet James made that guy look like a beginner.
Amusing that James singlet is styled after PSU and his opponent's looked a lot like an Iowa one.
What's really troubling is that his hair dye was getting all over Luke's hands.
That should have been an immediate DQ. If Peterson shows up like that again, the coaches should get in the refs ears.
Make the fker shave his head to wrestle.
