OT: WV Governor Up In Arms Over NCAA Tourney Snub

Good for him. I don't follow b-ball at all, so I don't have any idea if they deserved a shot, but anything that upsets the status quo is okay with me. It's too bad that Desantis didn't do the same for FSU 2 years ago. What happened to them was inexcusable and should have been fought.

    OT: Measles info.

More reliable than any 3-letter “news” agency.

    OT: Measles info.

    Wouldn’t surprise me if true.

    OT: Epstein

I don't think that's the case. My read is that Bondi is simply going through the expected channels (via the FBI Director) to make sure he's aware that there may be missing docs being held by a NY FBI office. I don't see it as her being accusatory towards Patel.

History and tradition of winning. Blue blood programs

All things considered (total wins and championships), it's not a bad list. Nebraska should be ahead of Georgia (recency bias, for sure). The 10th spot is a coin toss between LSU, Penn State and Tennessee.

    Favorite movie soundtracks!!!

Was going to post Lost Boys, but I see someone beat me to it. I’ll add: Dirty Dancing Footloose The Crow Repo Man Top Gun Trainspotting (also one of my favorite movies ever). Edit: Also The Wedding Singer

Under the 4 team format, Ohio State wouldn't have qualified

The only teams that absolutely deserve a shot are those from the "power" conferences who go undefeated. This year that was only Oregon. The other 3 matter less to me.

Under the 4 team format, Ohio State wouldn't have qualified

No, it's not. Oregon proved they were the best by going undefeated, winning the Big 10, and beating OSU during the regular season. Oregon was more deserving of playing for the national title than any other team this year. The expanded playoff only showed us that the team that "gels" at the end...

Under the 4 team format, Ohio State wouldn't have qualified

No, it was only proof that the selection criteria was flawed. 4 teams was the perfect number. It still (mostly) ensured that the regular season had meaning and it also ensured that no 2-loss or higher team would have a shot at the title (because they didn't deserve it).

Under the 4 team format, Ohio State wouldn't have qualified

A 2-loss team has just been crowned the national champion. This is the prime example of why the playoff should have remained at 4 teams, at most.

Ohio State vs Notre Dame. Big 10 Champions again

They don’t get one anymore with this new 12-team playoff. In fact, it could be argued that it hurts them to not be in a conference. The top 4 highest ranked conference champs get a first round bye - something ND will ever be eligible for.

Ohio State vs Notre Dame. Big 10 Champions again

If I had to put money on it, I’d take OSU by 3. I’ll be rooting for ND though, which is something just a few years ago I never thought I would ever say. It wouldn’t surprise me if ND won. Any team good enough to take out Indiana, Georgia and PSU, is good enough to take out OSU.

Much time has passed since our move from "Mediocrity"

It's what set us apart from all the other schools. We were truly unique. In '03, Stewart Mandel (I think) wrote an article stating that it would be a mistake for Nebraska to scrap the option offense. He said that Nebraska would never be able to consistently recruit against the USC's and OU's of...

Proven talent. I like it. 👍

At this point, who you pulling for ?

I get the hate for Sandusky, Paterno, and all others involved, but why hate the school today? This all happened years ago. Paterno has been dead for nearly 13 years. Is there anyone still remaining at that school who was involved with the coverup?
