Would have been fun watching Z and Powell on the same team.

    Yankees

After that Series, the Dodgers confirmed their strategy - let the Yankees beat themselves. They were one of the worst fundamentally sound teams in the league and LA put the ball in play, ran hard, and forced them to execute routine plays. It's my biggest critique of Brian Cashman. Under his...

    Yankees

To be thrown out at 3B with 2-outs in the bottom of the 8th down 1-0 is inexcusable. To be out by 15 feet just shows the absurdity of the decision. Yankees have played sloppy, unsmart baseball for many years which has hurt them in the postseason. This team had improved the defense...

    Big East Media Day

That team shot the lights out vs Kentucky but when you look at overall body of work, that St.Peter's team (22-12) was very much like our 2024 (25-12) and 2026 (21-12) teams who both would have made the NCAAT with expanded field. Would those teams been capable of putting together a run...

New Big East Commissioner Tim Brosnan is setting new standards as schools spend big on hoops

Interesting that Shanley went after him to be Commissioner back when the league split and they hire Val. At that time, his focus was becoming MLB Commissioner.

    Big East Media Day

Sounds like Sha likes the team he has. He doesn't sugarcoat so that's a positive. The team has some solid pieces but the lack of an alpha scorer or proven PG has me lowers our ceiling. Add to that the increase in spending and influx of talent in the conference and it's going to be more...

    Yankees

The Yanks seem to have a little bit of the magic that they have not had in a loooong time. In addition to having the deepest pitching staff in the game, they are actually playing good baseball. All of the months without Judge and Stanton and the recent injuries to Grisham and Jazz have forced...

    Elijah Fisher

Seton Hall is better with Fisher on the roster but not by much and compared to other P4 leagues, the Big East as a whole benefits if the NCAA wins their cases. In general, most Big East teams have taken the conservative route with 5th year players and former pros with eligibility issues...

    Jerry at practice

Just amazing how many players miss practice and games at Seton Hall for both injuries and illnesses. I know it happens everywhere but we seem to have more than usual. Its an apples to oranges comparison and a far different era but in 4 years at SH, I never missed a baseball game or a practice...

Zeke brought the Hall back in just 2 seasons and raised the standard that led to 6 NCAAT appearances in 7 years and 9 straight seasons of .500 or better BE record. His run in the 2nd half of his Sophomore season was as dominant as any I've seen in a Pirate uniform. Culminated in the...

    September Tweets

Have to agree with Rothstein. Coaches and schools should be doing everything to give more access to their teams. If they don't promote their own product, who will? Sha shouldn't be shutting the media out every Summer and should get onboard with other major programs who open the doors and/or...

    The Roster

    I believe Sha doesn't know who his starters are yet. Have no idea how he'll incorporate all of these evenly grouped players Here's a guess. PG - Jones 22 - Anderson 18 SG - Wilcher 24 - Parker 14 - Anderson 4 SF - Brown 22 - Thomas 20 PF - Williams 19 - Fisher 17 - Wol 6 C - Copeland 26 -...

Welcome to Seton Hall Javion Tyndale!

Love this commitment even with the current state of college basketball de-emphasizing staying with one school for multiple years. Happy to see Sha get one of his top targets and a guy who really epitomizes the qualities that Sha looks for in a player - heart, passion, intensity and teamwork.
