RPI VS. MAXPREPS

How can the NCHSAA's RPI ranking be so different from the maxpreps rankings? And which is more "accurate"? I know the state RPI is really all that matter but it is confusing how a team can be #4 on maxpreps and #13 on RPI or #5 RPI and #26 on maxpreps. I know maxpreps uses a strength of schedule...

Help me understand this RPI rank

So I dug into this to try to explain it better. The RPI is just math and it's current this year math. What i mean by that is it doesn't take into account a schools history which is good because it is way more reactive to what the current "best" teams are. Think of it like the college football...
