    Remember earlier this week when the NCAAT Committee chair stated

    Duke will be overall no 1 seed and UVA overall no 2. They will not put those two at a geographical or seed-based disadvantage. Cats will be no 5 or no 6 overall. Most likely paired with Gonzaga or UNC (whoever is the no 1).

    It’s not so much that play-in dictates per say, but there are so many bracketing factors that play in and b/c this still works out as a favorable region for Cincy, it’s a fit for the overall process

    Pittsburgh and Nashville are practically identical distances for Cincy. And b/c the 2nd play in game has to be in a Fri-Sun bracket and is paired with Mich St, they have to get Nashville instead of Pitt. Thanks!

    ESPN Ombudsman: Deal with it

    But the point is ESPN will not be able to survive long term "just" being a place to go for sports rundown info. Those days are over and not coming back. There's TOO MANY places/alternatives to go to for sports rumors and info for ESPN to only stay in that space.
