Anyone been to Delta Wine and Spirts to buy New Belgium Beer yet?

The reason people like that one is it's very tame. More flavor than Bud, Miller or Coors, but nothing that is going to offend anyone. It's an easy drinking, flavorful beer much like the beers from Sam Adams. Their hoppy Octoberfest beers are some of my favorite Fall beers. They add a new take...

Anyone been to Delta Wine and Spirts to buy New Belgium Beer yet?

I've had the Coffee Imperial Chocolate Stout, Bier de Garde, La Folie, and Le Terrior. All have been fantastic. Their sours in that series are damn good. I had Rampart last week and liked it. Ranger in cans is very good, but in Memphis it's $24 a 12 pack. No way in hell it's that good. I'll take...

Anyone been to Delta Wine and Spirts to buy New Belgium Beer yet?

I'll take Oskar Blues, Great Divide, and Avery over either one. Oskar Blues has Ten Fidy, Old Chub, Dale's Pale, Deviant Dales. Great Divide has Yeti, Oak Aged Yeti, Espresso Yeti, Chocolate Yeti, Old Ruffian, Hercules DIPA, and Titan IPA. Avery has Uncle Jacob's Stout, Mephistopheles...

    OT-Hunstville/Madison area

I'm in Oxford now and the wife is in grad school at Memphis. She's a Speech Language Pathology major. Can pretty much pick where she wants to work with a degree from Memphis. I mostly just want to get the hell out of Oxford. Huntsville seems like a good place to raise a family and the craft beer...

Think we've decided on food stops at least. Gonna hit up Chuck Wagon, the Nook Tuesday night for German food, wife wants to go to Mellow Mushroom which doesn't bother me since the beer selection is good. I know Wednesday I'm going to Blue Pants and STA tap rooms. Other than that we are still...

Thanks guys. I'm using this trip as a way to visit the breweries and get stuff I can't get here. STA is probably my favorite brewery and having a chance to visit the taproom and try some stuff only available there is my main reason for going. The wife is using it to scout out a place to work and...

The wife and I are heading into town next week and will be there for 3-4 days. I'm planning on hitting up Blue Pants, Straight to Ale, and The Nook for beer trips. Any advice on retail locations for beer or any local restaurants to visit? Any other places to visit or things to do? We are looking...

Haven't seen a beer thread in a while.

Terrapin It isn't available in Memphis yet. The closest you can get it is in Jackson, Tn. The state is split as far as distributors go. The Bud distributor there recently bought Southwest and they have already added a couple of new brands, Brooklyn and the high gravity offerings from New...

Stuff to do around Portland and Eugene, Oregon......

Breweries They have a ton of breweries in that area and they are producing some of the best beers in the country right now. Check out this link. http://www.portlandbeer.org/breweries/ Of the ones listed, I'd definitely go to Hair of the Dog (try Adam and Fred, and whatever From the Wood Beer...

Haven't seen a beer thread in a while.

The only distributor that Oxford and Desoto share is the Bud distributor. They handle Tallgrass, Tommyknocker, Back Forty and Widmer. Everything else is from West Point via Clark or Better Brands.

Haven't seen a beer thread in a while.

They had a batch of Flare Incident that was bad, but they sold it anyhow because it was a higher ABV and people didn't seem to mind. The colors and flavors were off. When it's dark and murky like it's supposed to be, it's pretty damn good.

Haven't seen a beer thread in a while.

Colorado beer The two IPAs from Oskar Blues are fantastic, Deviant Dale's and Gubna. Their scotch ale, Old Chub, and RIS, Ten Fidy are also really good. Try any of the IPAs from Great Divide and their Yeti series. You should have Lagunitas available. Hop Stoopid is very solid and fairly...
