Sandburg IHSA investigation - asst coach whistleblower on recruiting

I'm a public school guy. I have no problem with the private schools. Public schools need to make their program elite to the point that kids don't want to leave. The only, I won't say unfair, but unfortunate advantage that private schools have is that a lot of these private schools have...

    Batavia Vs MC

For what it's worth, Batavia was a missed 2 point conversion away from upsetting Lincoln-Way East earlier in the year. LWE is rolling through 8A.

    Public Semifinalists- 22 Private- 10

I could not agree more... As a life long public school athlete (except college) and coach, I would have hated it if we competed in a separate division in the name of having an easy path. AS LONG AS THOSE SCHOOLS OPERATE WITHIN THE RULES AND THERE IS ACCOUNTABILITY, dividing public and private...

Projected 8A and 7A Districts Updated For 2023 Under The Current By-Law Amendment Proposal

You're right, but my comment was that you could fix 8A by making it 16 districts of 6 teams. So, those schools would be moved up in order to fix the distance issue... Fair to them? No, but all of this is really arbitrary anyways...

Projected 8A and 7A Districts Updated For 2023 Under The Current By-Law Amendment Proposal

If you make 8A 16 districts of 6 teams, the travel issues are basically solved because the only "Far south" grouping would be 2093.5 Moline (H.S.) Western Big 6 2096 Normal (Community) Big Twelve 2111 Belleville (West) Southwestern 2307 Edwardsville (H.S.) Southwestern 2439...

    Feeto's Friday Upset Special......

If that happens, 3 way tie in SPC East, team with fewest points allowed in those games gets automatic bid. Plainfield East allowed 17 from JW and 13 from PC (30) JW allowed 15 from PEast PC allowed 21 from PEast If PC wins, Jwest must allow 15 or less to win conference, and PC has to allow 9...

Does anyone know the tiebreaker procedure? Who gets the bid if it is a 3-way tie?

Interstate lopsided 8 week 5 results

All they had to do was, when Geneseo bailed, just have 6 teams. Should have been LP, Ottawa, Plano, Sandwich, Rochelle, and Morris. But instead they added Sycamore... and then wanted an even number so they added Kaneland. The worst part is, this affects more than just football.

    Southwest Prairie East

If you think about it, it actually makes some (a little little bit) sense. The "good" teams battle it out and most of them make the playoffs with a ton of playoff points. The East then gets 1 or 2. If it was one big conference, or evenly distributed, there would likely be less representatives...
