I think coaching is important in what a coach is able to get out of his wrestlers, pick the ones that will shine the most, motivate them, keep them focused, bring out their best. That takes a skill.
An Iowa thread on intermat is claiming dan dennis is no longer coach of hwc, since september, but i have not seen any evidence to substantiate those claims. Who would be running it currently if true, and why no mention here?
I agree with both of these statements (as a Hawkeye fan). Today i am focusing on the positives, a great tourney from our guys and edging out tOSU for a trophy. However, going forward, we need a MAJOR overhaul.
This is a great and accurate summary of the beginning of the psu empire. Even if they had the resources I don’t think the Brands would have done something like this because it was in a gray area and they are strict rule followers.
I don’t understand why in the post big tournament interview with Carl and his minions they say that 7 champions is a new big record when Iowa had 9 in 1983 and 8 another year. Is pre 2000 not part of history now🤷♀️
Corby, do you really think the Brands game plan? This is one of Iowa fans biggest complaints, that the coaches dont watch film and learn from past losses.
What do you care what Iowa fans are saying about your wrestling team on an IOWA forum!? Why don’t you go hang out with your fellow PSU wrestling fans so you can beat your chests about how great your team is. Enjoy the winning while it lasts because it won’t last forever.
