    80 years ago tonight

    I was lucky enough to visit Normandy. There are still massive holes from Allied bombing. There's twisted rebar from the German pill boxes where they mounted their guns.

    OT: Shopping in the convenience store…while parked at the gas pumps

    I work for a large supplier to Sheetz. They are my account. They make between a 75% to 80& margin on the foodservice items. Their margin on gas is between 10% to 15%. They encourage people to come in store and leave their cars at the pump.

    The picture above of the Oakland A's owner from Moneyball is perfect! His dialogue in the movie is a classic. It aptly describes Penn State's position vs OSU on an NIL basis. ~ I still love college football. But not like I did before lights were added to Beaver stadium.

    OT: Live Iceland volcano eruption video

    My wife and I got to see a live volcano at Arenal in Costa Rica in 1999. Seeing the lava flow at night was a memorable experience. That volcano is now dormant.

    133 Next Year

    I repeated seventh grade when I went from public school in Bucks county to private school. I wish I had great sports story to pass along. I was just a lousy student with ADD and my grandparents had the money. I will forever by grateful!!

    George School started recruiting in basketball on the coattails of Westtown. With the crazy tuition costs it’s good exposure for the school.

    My girlfriend from high school was from Waynesboro. I went to a boarding school in Bucks County. Her father, Thomas McBride, was wealthy beyond belief. He had a helicopter pick him up for work and shuttle him up to the coal country.

    I work for a large foodservice manufacturer and i call on both Sheetz and Wawa. People who live in areas where their stores are located have no idea how lucky they are to have this conversation. The other 85% of the US does not have anything close to the foodservice offerings of these two...
