OT: We may win the World Cup in 2026

Turner shouldn't be a #1, but really not sure where else we go at this point (unless someone really jumps out over the next year). I had hoped that Slonina would be the answer, but his career has really stalled the last two years. And I have no idea where we go at CB. McKenzie would be in the...

OT: We may win the World Cup in 2026

Lack of talent in this squad...and what talent there is doesn't seem overly interested. On our way to a lost summer just a year out from a huge opportunity.

OT: We may win the World Cup in 2026

Yep, I've thought it before and then I feel guilty that someone died and I'm disappointed in what it did to the USMNT. But what could have been...

OT: We may win the World Cup in 2026

I still feel like we've got a solid squad with our first 11 (well, at least with the 10 field players), but we still need to figure out who those 10 guys are, and the depth at some spots is really lacking. We'll learn little to nothing about this squad this summer with the hand that we've been...

OT: Official 2025 PGA Tour thread

Reminder to fellow golf fans that The Masters ticket application window is currently open. Nothing quite like getting that email in July that you’ve been selected.

    OT: College baseball and softball

And speaking of malicious contact, a really interesting/tough call from a high school game in Illinois... I've watched this one 20 times, and I still have no idea what should have been called. It was a late slide, the slide was a little higher than you'd like to see, but is it enough to call...

    OT: College baseball and softball

Really interesting play in the Oregon baseball game last night. Initial call was nothing, and runner safe. After review (and a really long one at that), they went with no Obstruction on the catcher, and malicious contact on the runner (which makes it an out, an immediate dead ball so the...

OT: FIFA flaunting facilities at Rutgers as 2026 World Cup base camp option

Purely a guess, but I'd think that the MLS teams wouldn't want to give up their facilities for upwards of 6-8 weeks during their season...even with the league taking a break from games, teams would still be practicing and players working out every day during the break.

    OT: RIP Jill Sobule

Very well said...it's a very complex issue when it gets to sports at a really high level (I liken it to Oscar Pistorius or Casey Martin), but hate that it means that a middling middle/high school trans athlete is shunned at a time where they could really use all of the benefits that team sports...

    OT: NJ Real ID

My wife is traveling next month and started looking about 2 months ago...nothing available day after day. She finally got an expedited passport to make sure that she was ok. Is it really crazy to think that the state might divert some resources to add more appointments over the last few months...

    Bacatology 3/3: NCAA Tournament Analysis

I'd highly doubt that CBS cares about the Bracket Matrix...I'd think that they'll look for someone that can fill this role and other roles (ie, can also cover college hoops year round, is more "tv friendly", possibly does radio, is more engaging on twitter and pushes out more content, etc). He...

    Bacatology 3/3: NCAA Tournament Analysis

Fans of about 150 schools think that Palm, Lunardi, and/or any other bracketologist hates their school.

    Bacatology 3/3: NCAA Tournament Analysis

His days at CBS are over... Agree that he's not a "TV guy"...reminds me of Ken Pomeroy, but Ken stuck to the website to make his $. Jerry was a pioneer with bracketology, the RPI, forcing the NCAA to be more transparent about the selection process and their numbers, etc. There isn't anyone...

    OT: Crown tournament

Interesting that many of the legal books (ie, DKNJ) pulled the games off the board, and refunded previously placed wagers.

    Bacatology 3/10: NCAA Tournament Analysis

Why would you believe that? There is nothing stopping it, they've done it before, and their goal is to get teams close to home. Note that I wouldn't expect it to happen if Duke ends up in the East, since I expect them to get an SEC team in the two line with them.
