I don’t know how long Riley would stay but the only coaches we’ve had in the past 25 years that I thought would stay long term are Krag and Bobby 2.0 and neither ended well. If he won big and later moved on then at least we got to win big. I do think we could land him, this is a place he can win...
Texas A&M seems to have some dysfunction. It’s like asking if Satt is an upgrade over Bobby Petrino. At one point in time that would have been laughable. After 2018 not so much.
Also keep in mind Jimbo plays in the SEC West which is much tougher than the Big 10 West. The Big 10 West is easier...
Brohm employs an exciting brand of offensive football? Purdue was tie 52 in total offense and UofL 56. Maybe when they do move the ball it is exciting but I prefer effectiveness and his offense is not much better.
Purdue is 42 in Sagarin and UofL is 31. I would expect to coach who is an upgrade...
It’s not a bad place to be if Satt is pulling and retaining talent. If it doesn’t work out then fire him after next year or let the clock run out on his contract and hire a new coach that can hopefully hold the roster together and win with his recruits.
“Word” from this guy.
Never got to the point of discussing replacements for Satt acceptable to FlyVille as the team turned it around before he was fired.
There are a lot of coaches this wouldn’t have worked out with. Word is the Clarksons aren’t too keen on Brohm but could be ok with a different coach if we moved on from Satt in the future. Hopefully Satt is successful and it doesn’t come to that.
Diaz was a terrible hire. Texas fans hated him. He had a few decent years as DC under Richt at Miami but then we saw what he did as HC. Hopefully there is still enough talent that the D is decent.
