    Iowa game prediction

Hoping the Hawkeyes win but not counting on it. Provided the Huskers show up focused and ready to play, this could be a really tough game for Iowa. If Nebraska can avoid turning the ball over and contain the Hawks special teams play, they have a decent shot of winning this Friday.

We're beating Iowa. There it's been said.

I'm not a big fan of "player antics" by any team including the Hawkeyes but this is on the rise everywhere. It just seems most home crowds (including Iowa and Nebraska IMO) overlook/minimize/rationalize the behavior of of "their team" while criticizing their opponents. Iowa's worst period...

We're beating Iowa. There it's been said.

The offensive stats don't tell the whole story as Iowa is 3rd in points scored during BIG games (only behind OSU and Nebraska) and 3rd in points given up (only behind Purdue and PSU). The Hawkeyes use their special teams and defense to shorten the field. Thus Iowa doesn't need as many yards to...

Is Iowa our Rival? According to TO, they are not...

Can't/won't respond to the past disrespect between the 2 programs more than I already have. Regarding my comment about the winner of the IA/Wisc game, I'm talking recent history (2015, 16 and this year).

Is Iowa our Rival? According to TO, they are not...

Been reading and posting a bit the past couple weeks to see how folks on this site view the Hawkeyes. The responses are pretty broad. Regarding whether or not Iowa and Nebraska view each other as rivals...I think the Black Friday angle helped make this game more of a rivalry but next year, the...

It isn't Scott Frost, it is Nebraska.

What is this fetish with recruiting rankings and what does it say when a team like Iowa routinely has recruiting classes in the 35-50 range but consistently puts as many or more players in the NFL than any other team in the BIG? This includes 2 first round picks last year and potentially a...

    Amazing Iowa defense stat

The Hawkeyes aren't an amazing football team but they are a few scores from being 11-0 or 5-6. An inconsistent/average offense that has it's moments and a very good defense that may give up a lot of yards but very few TDs. The Iowa defense has only allowed 4 rushing touchdowns in the past 11...

What do think the line on the Iowa game will be?

Hawkeyes -8.5. Nebraska will need to score more than 20 points to win.

    Commit from Iowa

Each school does what they feel works for them. Back in May, Nebraska had 400+ offers out to the 2020 recruits while Iowa was at 109. Iowa usually ends up with a recruiting class around 45-60 in the country but somehow puts numerous players in the NFL annually. In 2019, this included first round...

    Commit from Iowa

As stated earlier, Iowa is interested but hasn't offered yet. Signing day for a 2021 recruit is still a long ways off so it's possible things may change before then. Being an Iowa kid, I wish him well wherever he ends up (except on any Saturdays he plays against the Hawkeyes).

    Commit from Iowa

Having a Georgia offer shows me something but not yet having an Iowa offer is interesting as well.

There is a vocal crowd that pushes the "hate Stanley" view but most fans appreciate the job he's doing considering the Hawks inconsistent offensive line. What Coach Ferentz lacks in "sizzle", he more than make ups for with class, integrity and stability. He always has a plan that keeps us in any...

Iowa has a pretty good record of sellouts and near sellouts over the past 40 years. There are a number of factors that chip away at game attendance on any given game for many schools - cost, the hassle of driving several hours each way to catch the game when you can "tailgate" at home with...

I don't believe you will find many Iowans who regularly attend Iowa and ISU FB games in the same season but it seems many/most Hawkeyes wish the Cyclones well after the rivalry game (especially after we beat them). We actually admire the job their coach has done the past few years to make Iowa...

I don't think it was so much about beating Minnesota as it was beating an undefeated team with a top ten ranking after enduring close/frustrating losses to ranked Mich, PSU and Wisc.
