You do NOT chase the ball handler. You let the entry happen, then attack. You make sure NOTHING gets behind you if you're the back end. You also force Iowa to YOUR attack, thereby forcing longer passes ------ and the clock to wind out.
There INDEED was a meeting with Alvaro. He was told that defense workouts will be a priority in off-season development if he wants to stay/play at Iowa.
He was told he will be offered far less to stay at Iowa than go to the open market.

Al was offered HALF as much as he would get on the open market to stay at Iowa. (As I mentioned, he was lowballed)
He will be making a decision midweek.
He will be offered 50% or less of what he got this season.
Personally, i think he was a defensive liability as much as he was a Madness darling. Whether he stays or goes, we will be fine.
