    Will strength of schedule matter?

    I like that conference champions no longer are guaranteed the top x spots in each class, but I do think that conference champions should be somewhat protected and be guaranteed a home playoff game (i.e. top 16 seed either east or west for 1-A through 7-A or a Top 8 seed in 8-A).

    They will probably still prioritize conference champions if there are 2 or more teams in the classification. Would it be so hard to instead guarantee all conference champions a home game, but seed according purely to RPI, except for conference champions jumping up to get a first round home game...

    My realignment proposal

    You do realize that currently it is harder for kids at the 4-A level to make states than it is to qualify for Nationals. We had a kid make all-state 3 years ago, now for another kid to qualify in the same event he has to break that other guys school record and then some just to qualify for states.

    I believe it was Ohio about 10 years ago (don't know if they do it anymore) that required all private schools in their Public School Association to have all students counted as 1.5 students for realignment figures.     Parkland was originally supposed to be named South Forsyth, but when Kennedy got assassinated the name got changed to Parkland, after Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas where Kennedy was pronounced dead.
