Good article. It focused just on downtown New Brunswick but the economic impact of RU sports extends quite a ways beyond city limits to the many hotels on all of the major roads approaching Rutgers and New Brunswick. It would be interesting to see an article that covers the wider area.
Good article. I think that most here would probably agree with the basic points. It goes back to the start of "bigger time" sports at RU in the early 1970s, though its focus is on football. He mentions each coach along the way, starting with Frank Burns, and described the hiring of Terry Shea...
An interesting thing that VT and Miami have in common is that each suffered its last loss to Rutgers. Everybody here knows that but elsewhere, most people do not. I wonder if that will be mentioned on the telecast tonight.

I'm glad that he found a landing spot. Despite the way things ended for him here, he has had a rather compelling life journey so far and I wish him the best in his future.
Jourdin Houston is the 17th recruit and the 9th for this weekend. The class is now ranked 9th in the nation, which seems higher than where we've been at this point in the past.
Has RU football ever had such an active recruiting weekend? Perhaps there was a lot of positive energy among the...
