    Lake Zurich head coach goes to Barrington

    Great call. I like planz but I’m not so sure he’s a great coach. Not saying he’s not either. Nothing has stood out throughout his time as a head coach to make me think he’s great. I will say it seems his teams get better as the season progresses.

    IC Expansion?

    Even if they did disband the wrestling team, they are moving up to 3a so this is a moot point. The only thing I could possibly think of that could result in this is the connection to club wrestling but I highly highly doubt that they are disbanding.

    Father and Son state champions

    The Schmidt’s at IC. Dad won a title as head coach in 2008. lost to eventual champs Driscoll as a player for IC in ‘91? I think. Son JP won a title(at least 1) as well.

    I could've sworn it was Normal Community or Normal West but I guess I was wrong. I can remember watching the game on TV and seeing the "Public School Champions" sign. I just looked it up and neither Normal school lost to a private school. Good call.

    Those guys are about the same as Aau basketball coaches. No teaching background so they start up these profitable 7-7 programs and don’t know how to teach kids character. This is embarrassing.

    idk how I missed this one but Glenbard North! 0-4 in title games. Geneva is 0-3 as well. Alleman is 0-4.

    Good call on Barrington. Small schools: Tolono Unity. Scott Hamilton came close but I think was either. 0-4 or 0-5 in title games? saw him speak once at a clinic and he was awesome. Followed him and his team ever since.
