    Mayor's Cup date is reportedly set: Wednesday, November 13th at the Reynolds Center. Looking forward to seeing if you guys are still playing baseline-to-baseline air hockey during media timeouts...pretty cool promo. The sax player in the north lobby was on point as well two years ago. :cool:

    ORU averaged 7,000+ from the opening of the Mabee Center through the '70's; decline began in early '80's with the oil bust coinciding with meteoric rise of Nolan Richardson's TU teams; plummeted with the highly unpopular Ken Hayes firing in 1983.

    ORU game attendance truly is the highest it's been in years, regardless of announced attendance figures. Actual "butts in seats" estimates from those who attend frequently put the numbers at 3,000-to-3,500 per game:

    Thirteen years ago, ORU basketball (like it or not) was arguably relevant. Now, not so much. Hard to stay snarky following three straight 20-loss seasons and attendance figures worse than the NAIA days. But, I like to think I could still muster up some smack should conditions ever warrant...
