If you ain’t payin, you ain’t playin

I'm impressed and even a bit amazed that, per the article, Painter has never brought in a transfer that wasn't also a graduate. That's very cool and the model I think Collins wants to use. Also, it looks like one of the ways to a more impressive resume is to schedule a bunch of the P4 teams for...

Coastal Carolina will debut "Back to the 90s" uniforms for their ESPN2 game on Friday -

I admit that were I a college athlete, I'd be embarrassed putting that uniform on in 2026.

NRF pricing going to be a huge problem

I must be looking in the wrong place. I checked prices Friday night on the NU/ticketmaster site and there were hundreds of tickets available in the cheap seats pretty much everywhere, starting at $97+fees.

    TV Schedule

I'm very resentful of this ongoing fracturing of games across the spectrum of subscription services.

    It's Kenpom day...

5-15 isn't a lot lower than I would expect given our current roster and all of its unknowns and then considering how last year worked out and our lack of a Nick.

Media Day Notebook: Northwestern hungry to rebuild with 11 new players on roster

This seems very much the new reality in college sports. Thanks for your work!

I Took A Tour Of Glenbrook South Over The Weekend...

...for my 40th reunion and boy that place has changed! The tour was lead by an assistant principal who looked old enough to be a student. Her wingman was Phil Ralston and I spent a small chunk of the tour chatting him up about all the stuff that's changed in the area. He was quite effusive...

Seeking to purchase: West Lot - 1 Game Parking Pass to keep tradition alive

I remain surprised the update plan didn't include turning part of the West Lot into a parking garage.

Somewhat OT: There's non-con scheduling, and then there's NON-CON SCHEDULING...

The MVS Generals bring in a ton of revenue for their athletic department. I believe it takes a lot of heart to play for that basketball team and I have no idea how well their other programs perform.

    Four-star, Top 70 2027 G Jeremiah Profit is a Cat

I like West's potential as the floor general and Angelo as the third scoring option and high energy guy. I'm really interested in seeing what the coaches and team put together for this season.

Sanders: Colorado removes several players for detrimental conduct

That would have been a perfect apology imho.

    Four-star, Top 70 2027 G Jeremiah Profit is a Cat

Coach and his returning players will be challenged to create and maintain that team chemistry. Continuity is one of the bigger things I think you lose in this portal era. When we had a team featuring Boo, Chase, Ty, and Big Matt, the new kids were coming into a strong, existing culture...

They Need to Ban Gambling Advertising

The challenge I see from the gambling industry's ubiquitous presence in the media is they are marketing a product that has a long and proven track record of creating and maintaining addiction and ruining lives. Rather than a similarity with forks and credit cards, I see a connection with alcohol...
