Valid point. I had forgotten about the clock stoppage when it goes under 35.

Football Class D3 Football Championship Game will be held in Kearney

So many people fail to realize how important this has become. The amount of work that goes into broadcasting the semifinals on NCN is remarkable. Then the product isn't always the best. In today's world people would throw a fit if they don't have a good broadcast of the state championship games.

We have a 35 point running clock. The reason 40 was purposed was to make it similar to basketball, so that the number didn't change from sport to sport.

    Basketball Coaches

Prichard is staying at Malcolm. They only had 2 coaches and a volunteer, thus the opening for an assistant. The boys coach decided to step down and spend more time as a father from what I was told.

    State Basketball question

This isn't rocket science...there are far fewer people at the class D games. That means the arena empties out much faster, and the security and planning people don't have to be "jerks" for asking people to leave. While it wasn't terrible, the turn around time for the PBA staff for the Husker...

    State Basketball question

You guys, the NSAA doesn't decide to play the 3rd place games. The schools do. It's not a money grab, it's what the majority of schools have voted that they want. I hate the 3rd place game! If C1-D2 are tired of the 3rd place game, each could write a proposal and vote the games out and it'd go away.

    C2 Girls Basketball Region 2

Same thing happened in C1, where the top 4 teams are all in Region 3. It all works out in the end, as there are 6 wildcards to the district final. Much better than that old system that D still uses. That system only has 4 wild cards and a loaded sub oftne knocks a team out of the district final...

Basketball Class C and D Girls Subdistrict Brackets Released

These moves sometimes have to do with the host school having both teams practicing as well. It can make it easier if the bunny bracket game is hosted at the higher seed when it works. Class A and B do this also.

Alabama splits public and private schools

Norris isn't a closed district though (I don't believe), and they accept option students. They may have caps though on enrollment, which is what Malcolm has. I'm told though that Malcolm isn't full in most grades at this time. A-G and Lakeview are the same as these previous two I believe...

2025-2026 NDE Enrollment Numbers & 8 Man Classifications

You also have to remember that State Play Production is going on in Norfolk. Like all NSAA State Championships, it's all hands on deck for the staff. That's likely why the classifications come out the week before Christmas, once everyone is back in the office.

Football Football Declaration List (Updated 12/1)

Looking at the list above, there will be less schools in C to begin with. That would mean the C2 line moves up. I noticed Bergan put in a proposal to have a cap on how big you can be and be in C2, which sort of makes sense. If I had to guess, Leigh will be 6, Clarkson may be 8. If I were to...
