    UNC Coaching Search

Correction, my first “realistic” choice. Hurley wasn’t realistic. Now list his FULL resume. Do you know it? You guys want the next Hurley, Coach K. Pitino. You’re gonna have to gamble on someone before they become that guy. McCollum checked a lot of the boxes. And guess what? It’s too...

    Kiss Oats Goodbye. Thanks MITCH!

Yep. UNC fans are quickly approaching panic mode. And a lot of them still have delusions about being able to pull Dusty May from Michigan and McCollum away from the program he grew up dreaming of leading. Donovan is their best shot. And Donovan isn’t going to have serious discussions...

    Kiss Oats Goodbye. Thanks MITCH!

I like oats as a coach. I’d take him over Pope thats a no brainer. But good lord is that dude a pr nightmare. I just read that he married his 30 year old director of basketball operations. 2 consenting adults. So hey do what makes you happy. But kind of seems like a conflict of...

Uconn playing for their 7th national title

I’m not so sure. Hurley is proving to be an evil genius on a basketball court.

Uconn playing for their 7th national title

Michigan has looked like the best team in the country despite playing in the best conference in the country for most of the year. Guess this shouldn’t have surprised me. But i picked zona before the tourney.

Freshman Led Teams Just Aren’t Winning The Titles Anymore

You could make an argument Florida didn’t have more talent. That Golden has just done a better job developing guys in his system: Florida with just 3 former top 100 players vs UK with 8 (5 if you take away Hawhtorne, JQ and Lowe)...

Uconn playing for their 7th national title

Uconn’s 2014 title remains the most mind shattering title win in any major spectator sport i’ve witnessed in my lifetime. It defies all logic. Kevin Ollie, who was so bad after that Uconn fans and admins dug up and turned in dirt on themselves just to get rid of him, in 6 straight games...

Dan Hurley and his terrible first 2 UCONN years

Hurley also won a bunch of state titles in the high school ranks in New Jersey before going to D1. He also learned under his dad, Bob Hurley senior, who might be the greatest high school basketball coach in history. But I will admit, I never would have projected Hurley to be as good as he...

    Jasper Johnson to the Portsl

Rob was better than I expected him to be. I’m still upset about the LSU game that year. Should have been his moment we blew it because 4/5 guys on the court got caught ball watching instead of boxing out. Adou was the only one still playing

    Jasper Johnson to the Portsl

Rob Dillingham and Jordan Burks were OTE kids too. We spent most of his one season begging for Cal to start Rob over DJ. And Jordan Burks killed it at UCF this year. Jasper and his dad/uncle need to learn patience. Something tells me Jasper may not have been asked to come back however.

You can cross McCollum off. That dude is never leaving Iowa. And that breaks my heart to admit because he was my first choice last time.

    Pope

Yeah Lowe and BG werent it. Lowe was never going to work and only here because we whiffed on our top pg target’s last off season. Garrison regressed. Was never the defensive presence he was advertised to be. Jasper had an awful season but I would have been okay with keeping him if he...

College basketball coaches that aren’t leaving their current job for another college coaching job

I think a lot of these players still want to play for the best and strongest fan bases. I also think brand building and apparel sales are an even bigger deal now with NIL than ever. There’s still more earning potential for these kids at UK than any program in the country not named Duke.

College basketball coaches that aren’t leaving their current job for another college coaching job

Well i think some mid and low major programs would gladly take him. But no matter how poorly or well he was doing here no one would be able to poach him.

College basketball coaches that aren’t leaving their current job for another college coaching job

Good one. Forgot all about him. Purdue alum with a recent Final Four and averaging 29 wins a season over the last 5. So yeah Can’t see him leaving. Edited to add Painter and Mark Few, who I also just forgot about.
