    Idk. Byron is awesome, but I’m not sure if they were any better than 2023 and 2024 versions. Montini, on the other hand, has improved quite a bit since 2023.

    Hard to say. I kinda doubt it based on the overall success that class had going all the way back to when they were little kids, but - maybe? He did win two state baseball titles (three trophies), got a D1 scholarship and had a pretty solid MLB career, and also got to be an all state football...

    This possibility already exists. It already happens to certain suburban schools that don’t have strong programs. The difference with separation would be that the public schools wouldn’t get beat with “their own” kids. Just throwing this out there. I’m not at the level of wanting total...

    Montini already back. Just a very well constructed roster. They hit a rough patch and slummed around in the lower levels for a while, but I would not be one bit surprised if they were back in 6A in a few years.

    I believe they weren’t getting enough kids from G-SW to justify nearly doubling their enrollment and going from 1A to 2A (and awfully close to 3A.) Pretty sure they were the largest 2A in 2024 and Wilmo was smallest 3A.

    Generally agree with all this, except I don’t think Dwight has their co-op with Gardner anymore. Their enrollment went from 403 in 2024 to 210 in 2025 and they are not listed as a co-op per IHSA.org.
