    OT: Deer hunters: .45-70 or 35 Whelen?

    I switched from the 30-06 three years ago. Recoil and accuracy are the same w/rem core lokt ammo. My father in law had a 45-70 before his 35 and will also tell you the 35 is better. I have the TC Encore, pricey but worth it.

    Just follow/friend the Harrison/Stone Alumni chapter on Twitter/Facebook. I get local coast watch party info from them all the time. Seems like the previous events have been at Mugshots by the Edgewater Mall and the new oyster bar in downtown Gulfport on 49.
