    The Republican Party proper is pretty pathetic. They seem to have minimal interest in anything but individually keeping their seats at the hog trough. Their opponents, meanwhile, are playing to win, and playing a game I'd rather they didn't win.

    I learned that game in Champaign at the old Illini Inn 4th street. I don't remember how to play iy off the top of my head. Probably all the mugs of warm Strohs.
