    God bless all the Union fans who supported their young men and see them safely home!! I am sure it was quite a draining journey almost 400 miles from home. Just hard to survive 4 first half miscues as well as a very tough opponent. Clarke vs Appo looks like a good one!

    Yes the VHSL assigns all state games with officials from associations that dont work either team's games and close by to cut travel expenses--says my source Sat officials for Union-Clarke Are from the Harrisonburg/Staunton area. My guess is they also carry flags too.

    Would like to welcome the Union folks to Clarke County

    From Big Stone Gap it will be nearly 400 miles! I see a stop over for Friday night (Roanoke to Harrisonburg) then rise & shine, eat breakfast and then a couple hours to Clarke! Have to contend with heavy I81 traffic too!! Buffalo Gap tp Appo much easier

    Most every team reaching this level in playoffs have athletes that can produce! The scale tips on play execution, mental focus and some "breaks". Play hard. Stay safe gentlemen!
