    I don't know that there was a competition. But I do know that many a 170 lb tough kids have played FB at SP and gained 1800 plus yards on the regular. There are probably 4-5 each year who could be that guy. Some years a guy is picked and he isn't the best pick maybe - but 1800 plus yards still...

    I wonder about the kids who encouraged him to come & their motives. SP wasn't missing anything when he came last year. Competition at SP is pretty stiff....there isn't a lot of encouragement to come make getting on the field harder.

    I always love this. Nobody recruited him. He got out of a program that is what it is. Also....name a fullback from the flexbone (any flexbone...not SPs) that hasn't put up big numbers. It's paint by numbers. How do you know SP is better off now anyway?
