Not Quite
I get the argument but let’s be clear. Howland was a home run hire with great pedigree that just hasn’t worked out. It’s completely unfair to say all coaches that fit that mold similar to Miller won’t work out again. I say hire Miller and call it a day.
We got bumped out this week which really doesn’t make sense to me. Ole Miss at 9 and A&M at 15. Seems like if we win this week the 3 of us could be in within a couple spots of each other with potentially a spot in the Sugar Bowl at stake. Maybe the committee gives us the nudge if we are 2-0...
Maybe it’s been discussed but IF Arkansas beats Bama this weekend is there a path of final weekend outcomes where State wins the West? Obviously a lot would have to happen but I’m curious.
Watts and Watson
Houston is in for a PR nightmare if they release Watt at his request but refuse to trade Watson at his request. They even get something in return with trading Watson.
Does Clay Travis and his team at Outkick still post relevant sports information? Was thinking of paying more attention to him, but it seems these days he's always talking politics or COVID-theories. If not him, who are the go-to sports sites for SEC sports these days?
Maybe this has been discussed, but if states have various rules on the number of fans allowed in attendance in games this fall, will the SEC and other conferences make some kind of mandate that levels the playing field for home teams?
Recruiting
I'm optimistic we will start seeing better attendance numbers as the season progresses, but if things don't change then this will begin to negatively affect recruiting.
