    Lute turned it down twice. The second time in 89. It was then offered to Carlesimo, who turned it down. Then was offered to Pitino, who accepted. Third. Fact. Nothing I posted was nonsense.

    Going back to when Coach Hall retired, we have NOT gotten our first choice. Turned down in each instant, sometimes more that once, except for Tubby, who was selected by CM Newton with Pitino's recommendation.
