McKendree was a powerhouse program long before Iowa started its program. Especially with losing North Central to the D3 split, they are not going anywhere soon. It will take more than a few teams adding it to box them out when many programs currently adding D1 women's wrestling are like Delaware...

Overall, great for women's wrestling. I'm hoping that more D1 schools will follow suit. I'm looking forward to the first potential Cy-Hawk double dual for the men/women, or maybe even a tri meet between Iowa, Iowa State, and Oklahoma State, with Tri and quad dual meets being common in women's...
