I agree; however, "those days" are the reason why the rules were implemented in the first place. Recruiting a kid is nothing new for coaches/schools/families, it is just easier to blame the redheaded step child (charters) these days. Charters are actually more difficult to get in than most...

Girls basketball in Charlotte not that good, plus Mallard Creek girls are typically the better of those teams. Mallard Creek boys are not that great. Also, these schools have a ton of students which kills the opportunity for others. I would say that most Charlotte areas schools have kids...

Every school recruits; however, your recruiting pool and others recruiting pool is probably very different. You don't think Reidsville was recruiting the kid to come back from Providence Day? I would imagine on a daily/hourly basis.

And yes, the Bandys area is growing too much, and I think may need a new school in that area. I've heard it would go up around the Slanting Bridge area off of 150 or the Terrell area. IDK, just what some important people of the area have said. Either way, they need to do something because...

That is wrong information and really don't care who shared it. The radius is from Denver as you can't have two places for sports purposes.

I never trash any schools. I'm a Catawba County homer and love all the schools in that area. However, I don't agree with Catawba County Schools being required to play one another in nonconference. I remember when I was in school (100 years ago) playing Foard, SS in nonconference, which back...

Wrong. LC 25 radius is from their Denver campus for sports. Research before posting....

    Private School Advantages vs Public.

They receive public funding from the state per pupil like "traditional" schools. Hence, they are public. The fact they are run independently is irrelevant as they are held accountable to following mandated rules and regulations. Also, I'm sure you will bring up equity, enrollment...

I'm just glad that Maiden and Bandys are now being forced to play Hickory, East and North. Three teams that each should have been playing in nonconference already (football). Those teams are way more of a measuring stick and true to conference play than Watauga, SS, and South Caldwell. Looks...

Now, that is more like it. You said, "Some"....you good now.

    Private School Advantages vs Public.

Do you really think anyone cares what you write or think? You say the same dumb stuff each time you post. Of all the "traditional" schools, Mt Airy cheats, recruits more than Charlotte schools; you know, they know, and everyone knows it. Turning a blind eye and a deaf ear doesn't make it a...

    Private School Advantages vs Public.

Never said it was guaranteed. I said "where my kids attended and surrounding charters" do in fact provide transportation via buses. You can't make a general, negative, blanket statement when it doesn't apply to everyone. You can't say "busing is not an option" and only affluent people can...

    Private School Advantages vs Public.

Every Charter I know provides transportation via buses. Not sure where you are talking from, but I know the Charter my kids attended, and surrounding charters, provided bus transportation to/from the school each day. Misinformation is wrong information!!!
