    State College has seen a LOT of swapping in and out of houses by dead and newly-formed or reborn fraternities over the decades. The chapters become like hermit crabs with their shells.

    Does anyone know what Beam is used for these days? When I was there (late 80s/early 90s) it had been converted into offices and classrooms for the Smeal College. I worked part time in the computer labs in Beam and the main Smeal building for several years.

    I had the same thought… there are certainly many teams out there that would be more intriguing than service academies, but I’d gladly see us play service academies over MAC type teams.
