    This is 100% correct. Truth be told, the fly in the ointment is Millhof's parents; possibly the most self-serving couple you'll ever meet. If parents would just shut the heck up, and mind their own business, 90% of all problems in youth / young adult sports programs would never even surface.

    This, unfortunately, is the problem. Frayer doesn't show up in Norman and they never land Rutt and Howe (think Frayer landed Glass, as well). The current staff members are all nice guys, but losing Frayer ended the run. Program's going sideways at best.

    The program's very disorganized, and there's no fan base, but I'm not sure anyone else could do much better. The best HS kids want to wear orange / black or go to the Big Ten. OU gets everyone's leftovers and the talent just isn't there. Just take a look at their guys. Almost all of them...

    I think that's right; sooners will be horrible at '41, '49 and '84. Interesting to see if Dieringer goes '74. If he does, that could benefit the sooners. (Glass is very underrated / R12 potential)
