Basically head to head means nothing in North Carolina high school football. If they can't find a better way to seed teams maybe they need to cut down on how many teams make the playoffs and how many state champions we have.
Just because they are defending state champs doesn't mean they will be ranked higher than another undefeated team the next year. Plus how do you really rank high school teams when there are so many different areas schools who don't have any common opponents. Imo coin flip is better than some...
He didn't say anything about Erwin having easy schedule. He was saying that basically they are telling you to play an easy schedule so you can have good record.
Your probably right but damn if they find it that difficult just cut down on how many teams make the playoffs. This is the only sport from high school to professional that head to head means nothing!
Erwin and Asheville both could easily lose their first games no matter what seed they are but if the NCHSAA has this hard of a time deciding seeding then maybe they need to just go back to four state champions. If they can't figure out a way to make it fair.
