    Largely agree. I also think the victimhood mentality in their constituents was largely created by an immoral drug war, which is not an issue that the Democrats exactly have a chokehold on.

    I would largely blame LBJ for the destruction of the African American family, but I'd also blame Nixon for initiating the drug war (that many other presidents ramped up after he resigned).     Absolutely, but concerted efforts to destroy the American family, particularly in the inner city, have been well documented. It's not as if one race is particularly disinclined to care about the family unit, its that payouts were made to financially incentivize single parent homes.
