OT: I guess fans have their limits

I don't know the specifics of this proposal but there are funding vehicles now where ownership belongs to and the profits from the stadium flow to the municipal agency that funds it - thus making much more palatable to the tax-paying public. Buffalo's new stadium was financed that way and took...

    Interesting question on Twitter

Again, she is a very good offensive player and will deservedly go high in the WNBA draft. I think she will struggle in the WNBA due to her defensive skills weakness being a liability. The above would be amplified in the NBA. I doubt she'd even make a roster. I believe she could play Women's...

WBB don’t want to win this

They've won every game this regular season. in the tournament and currently lead at the half. That's your hot take?

South Carolina QB Chris Smelley disappears while kayaking in Florida

I would add a mobile phone at least and ideally a Garmin inReach for communications and easy, reliable tracking without cell reception. I hope there are lessons learned from this potentially deadly experience. Reminds me of this incident...

    #52 in The NET Rankings

I have a strong quantitative analysis game. The Net ranking is pure garbage IMHO. It seems to over-engineer the predictive process and therefore getting too far away from the sole objective - Wins and losses. The proof will be in the pudding though. I have the Net rankings for all NCAA...

Harbaugh advocates for 5-10% revenue sharing pot for "student" athletes

Don't think this is a bad idea. There also needs to be some form of contractual obligation on the players' part too to enhance roster stability and save the bowl games. Fancy way of saying if there's a pay to play dynamic, there has to be an equal focus on the play part too.

Is the top 25 the next to go

Going forward, I also expect them to lean heavily into the computer polls (Colley Bias Free, et al) too. Conference championship will be the paramount consideration, at least initially, and then the computer polls will drive the wild card sections. While the committee did not specifically...

    “Meaningless Bowls”

I'd argue most of that has to do with misguided corporate branding decisions. I certainly don't have data to support this but I would argue outside of consumer packaged goods & select financial services, a bowl sponsorship doesn't really provide much oomph to a brand despite notable increases in...

Would you welcome Juice back with open arms??

I think you'd have to have more information on what actually happened. I would expect Beamer to have that information so I would trust his decision. From the limited information I have, I would say no because he's shown that he is not a team first player.

Most NFL teams have reverted back to training camp at their own facilities.

Beamer, Swinney comment on special guests attending game Saturday

I wouldn't worry. I don't expect this will last too long.

Big 10 informs Michigan it might face disciplinary action

Looks like a Fresno St and Arkansas St suspension for 2024 is looming. And by looking that up, I have to reluctantly tip my hat to the wolverines for playing a very legit 2024 schedule.

If I never hear the word “questionable” again

I don't understand why P5 conferences don't have NFL injury reporting protocols in place. Would be nice for all of college football but I suspect the administrative burden would be too much for the App States & Furmans of the world,
