  • From what I am reading and hearing about it, the IRS is going to start processing right away so they will probably initially view your 2019 and you won't get one. However, the are SUPPOSED to look again after you file the 2020 and if your income is lower they are supposed to update the records and send you a check once that second review is done. Unfortunately you're at the mercy of the IRS on this one (and I hear they are so backed up they are still processing 2019 returns). So if you can't get 2020 filed right away, I would just file when you can and hopefully they'll put in a process where you can request a check after that lower AGI is done. If I hear anything differently I'll PM you.

    Good luck and Hail State!
Glenn Ellis here. live (and grew up in Biloxi). Been on these waters my whole 45 years... I work full time in the hospitality industry down here but also am a part-time Inshore Fishing Guide. glad to help with info. 24' Key West is a good boat for the MS sound and our islands. If you haven't done so already, get to know the boat extremely well prior to making any long runs.... better to have unknowns pop up inside Bay St. Louis vs. 7 miles from any land. Lots of good fishing right around Mallini... especially in the coming months for specs.

At this point Saturday looks decent weather-wise but could be a little bumpy... West 10-15, 2-4 ft seas. Sunday looks better. Regarding Cat Island, just take it slow approaching the island anywhere while keeping an eye on your depth finder. Once you spend more time there, your confidence will build and you will love it. have any questions, let me know 228-297-7258
    Coast Dawg,

Thanks for your help! I’m Grant Staten and I live and work in New Albany. My inlaws just recently bought a place at Mallini Bayou right off Saint Louis Bay. I have been going down there since last summer a good bit fishing and have also been anchored around West end of Ship Island a couple of times. Father in law just recently bought the 24’ center console key west boat to keep everyone out of his 34’ Grady White for good reasons haha A whole lot easier to maneuver and navigate. Will be my first trip flying solo this weekend and have been studying charts, tides, weather, electronics on boat, etc... Little bit different than navigating the TN or MS that I’m used to. Saturday looks to be a good day. Just wanted to send you a quick note and thank you for the valuable information. Give me a call sometime if you are ever in the area, or if I can help you in any way. My number is 662-539-1070. Hail State!
