    Absolutely he will. None of the bigs have been taught the skills to play around the rim. I don’t understand how people put all the blame on the players. You do drills in practice to gain the skill and muscle memory to instinctively react in a game. That’s called coaching.

    Yeah that is really hard to fathom if he truly believes that. But if he said it he must think it’s true. Possible huge red flag with his perception compared to reality.

    Why doesn’t he have post moves after 2 years? To me I don’t see how that is possible. He doesn’t seal off or even block out. High school players have better fundamentals then him.

    Love to see him go to Florida under Golden. Pope has never developed any bigs in 2 years. I guess next year will prove if that the case. I think he will do great if he lands in a good program.

    I’ve not seen really any improvement of our bigs the 2 years under Pope. I don’t even seen basic skills out of the bigs which has to be coaching. I guess I will know if that’s true watching BG next year. Hope I’m wrong

    You left off for me the most glaring lack of coaching is developing his players skills and bodies. Have you noticed how none of the bigs have simply offensive skills around the basket or know how to seal off and block out for rebounds? Substitutes often because of fatigue - apparently no...

    What I'm hearing is we got his kid so we could get the dad who could help in recruiting. I agree this might very well be Pope's last year but to make any judgement before the roster is set is ridiculous. (By the way I don't think Pope has what it takes but he's getting a 3rd year so lets see...

    Actually I thought Pope was a good hire mid way through last season. There was so much wrong with this years team which have all been aired on here. There nothing positive I’ve seen from him in any aspect. Can you point them out? Why don’t you see it’s important to know how they left?
