    2nd best in 12 years of BPI - behind 2015 Cats I think the OP was about 'the best team throughout the year won' - they were historically good during the regular season and got really lucky in winning tournament.

    They got very lucky. But they also ended up as the #3 Kenpom team ever - only behind the 2015 Kentucky and 2008 Kansas teams.
