    Fall Practice

I'm expecting we see double digit minutes from Jocelyn. Our permitter players are good defenders but they are short. Several teams in the Big have taller wing players. I would expect they will try to exploit the mismatch. Jocelyn has good height and length if her offense develops she will be...

    Ella Stromdahl to be interviewed?

Ella is standing next to Amari and Taylor S in one of the first team photos. From that pic she is every bit of 6' tall.

Kyle, Would JJ be interested in adding one more piece to the team?

There are a couple of clips of Jocelyn F playing defense. She is long and athletic. She plays with an attitude Iowa fans are going to like her

5 in 5 also a major factor in recruiting dynamics. JJ's pursuit of front court depth is a possible indicator of the future role of McKenna. By all accounts she runs the floor really well and is developing shooting range. Her role in the future could be as a 3/4.

Mya W is a very nice player. With the 5 in 5 we really have the SF position covered for several years. Journey was a top 20 recruit at that position before her injury and is showing huge improvement. Jocelyn F is very long and athletic she was a top 100 recruit if her jump shot comes around...

5 for 5 or aged based eligibility seems destined for approval. Details to be worked out with regard to prep schools and medical redshirting. Late bloomers and international athletes would appear to be significantly benefited. Iowa has a very young core of players if they can be held together...

Another factor could be the uncertainty surrounding the pending decision on the 5 in 5 rule change.

    Wbb Class of 2026

The entire landscape of college athletics has changed with free agency. Finding players willing to go through the development process without big $ and guaranteed playing time becomes a huge challenge. Likewise finding coaching staffs that are willing to take on the challenge of a...

    2027 Recruiting

This is a new world with what is essentially free agency. JJ has continued to express she likes the player development part of the game. I think she looks to take 3 in the upcoming class. Jada S is already a commit. Whiting will be leaving that opens a spot at the wing. I would expect she...

Opponents often get very comfortable defending a specific offensive set from each team. If Layla's development progresses as expected JJ will possibly have the personnel to give teams a difficult scout. Being able to switch off to the 3 out 2 in offense with both Layla and Ava on the floor at...

She will earn playing time because of her length and willingness to play defense.
